A grim commencement to the New Year shook a Phoenix community as 32-year-old Edi Ruiz was found dead in his apartment on New Year’s Eve, having succumbed to a fatal gunshot-an incident that police have quickly acted upon, leading to the arrest of a suspect. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, authorities were called to the scene around 5 p.m. in the vicinity of Cave Creek and Greenway roads where they discovered Ruiz’s body.
