The Sixth Annual Gathering of Goldens is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at Red Mountain Park’s Wren ramada in Mesa. A total of 117 Goldens attended in 2023.
Use the Sterling street entrance at the park, 7745 E. Brown Road. It is an on-leash event. Dogs must be up-to-date on vaccines, dog- and child-friendly.
There will be a Western theme this year.
“Please try to wear Western gear such as a traditional bandanna or cowboy hat,” a release states.
There will be:

- Western photo backdrop
- Mini parade
- Group photos
- And more…..
Raffle tickets will be sold for $2 — cash only.
The event is still free and still for a good cause.
“This year’s fundraiser raffle proceeds will benefit Canine Companions for Independence, a great organization which provides highly trained service dogs to children, adults and veterans with disabilities totally free of charge. They were founded in 1975 and have graduated over 8,000 teams,” the release states.
