MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — A man is in custody after federal investigators say he robbed a credit union in Mesa, then tried to flee on an electric scooter before being arrested a short time later.
Just after 12 p.m. last Friday, April 18, 47-year-old Terrell Maurice Mars of Mesa allegedly walked into Mountain America Credit Union at Southern Avenue and Greenfield Road, waved what appeared to be a handgun, and ordered everyone to get down.
Court documents say he then jumped the counter and ordered the tellers to give him money. When they were unsuccessful, Mars reportedly grabbed the branch manager by the collar and demanded large bills from the cash dispensing machine…
