PHOENIX — A student brought a loaded gun to a campus in the Laveen School District on Tuesday, according to district officials.
One student reported to a teacher that another student had a gun, which the teacher immediately relayed to a school resource officer, district officials said. The student was quickly found and the officer found the loaded gun in the student’s backpack, officials said.
“At no point did the student threaten students or staff, and because the SRO was able to quickly detain the student, no lockdown was implemented,” a statement from the district said…
