‘We won’t let this define us’: Glendale community members weigh deadly shooting’s impact

A fight during a crowded Sunday dance party at a Glendale restaurant escalated into a deadly shootout in the parking lot , where three people were killed and five others injured.

More than one person opened fire outside El Camaron Gigante, police said. The mariscos and steak restaurant is in an industrial area just a block south of Glendale’s historic downtown district.

The deaths of brothers Damien Anthony Sproule, 17, and Christopher Juaquin Sproule, 21, as well as Milo Christopher Suniga, 21, were the result of just one of four mass shootings nationwide on May 4, adding to the roughly 100 mass shootings that have already occurred this year, according to the Gun Violence Archive…
