‘It’s time for you to protect him’: Mom of Arizona veteran killed in crash demands justice after report shows driver had no license and ran red light

MESA, Ariz. — Sherri Casper is a proud mom, especially when she talks about her son’s military service. Her son, Brandon Wallace, enlisted in the United States Army in 2000 and was a proud soldier in the 101st Airborne Division.

“The Rakkasans,” Casper said. “These were all his medals. I hadn’t realized there were so many, so I made these boxes.”

Casper said she was anxious as her son was deployed in the Middle East after the attacks on September 11, 2001. She recalls her relief when he finally came home…
