CHANDLER, AZ (AZFamily) — Beginning this summer, the East Valley will have overnight relief on the hottest days. Chandler will be the second city in Maricopa County to offer a cool place to sleep.
In Chandler last year, eight people died from the heat. It was a decrease from the year prior, when the intense heat killed 14 people.
