PHOENIX — In the summer of 2005, police in the Phoenix area began investigating a series of seemingly random shootings that terrorized the Valley over a 14-month span.
The infamous crime spree, later dubbed the “Phoenix Serial Shooter” case, resulted in multiple deaths, several injuries, acts of animal cruelty and the arrests of two individuals: Dale Hausner and Samuel Dieteman.
Hausner was convicted of 80 charges and would later die in an Arizona prison. Dieteman is still serving a life sentence…
