PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A court hearing for a suspect in Preston Lord’s death has been pushed back several more weeks after he declined a plea deal.
Jacob Meisner appeared in court for a settlement conference before Judge Geoffrey Fish on Friday.
Judge Fish explained to Meisner and his defense that if the case goes to trial and he’s convicted, he could receive life in prison with the possibility of release after 25 years. However, if he accepts the plea deal, he would be charged with aggravated robbery and manslaughter, dropping the first-degree murder charge…
