The father-and-son team who formerly owned and operated Lagacy Park, a sports venue in East Mesa, pleaded guilty last week to securities fraud and aggravated identity theft in connection with their scheme to defraud municipal bond investors, it was announced.
Randy Miller, 70, and Chad Miller, 41, both of Phoenix, will be sentenced at a later date, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of New York, which handled the case.
One count of securities offering fraud carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison, and one count of aggravated identity theft carries a mandatory consecutive sentence of two years in prison, according to federal authorities…
