A death investigation is underway after a man was found dead on a trail in Payson earlier this week. On Wednesday, the Payson Police Department received a call about a man who did not return after a hike. Police say the 74-year-old was hiking the Boulder Loop Trail. He was reportedly an avid hiker who took food and water with him, and his late return was out of character.
