A man is dead after police say a fight led to a stabbing inside a Phoenix motel room on Saturday afternoon. Phoenix police were called to an assault at a motel near 7th Street and the Interstate 17 freeway around 3:45 p.m. Officers arrived and were directed to a room where a man in his 50s was found unresponsive with “obvious signs of trauma.”

Police say just after 8:15 p.m., they received multiple calls about shots being fired near 108th Avenue and Flanagan Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a young man who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s age and identity have yet to be released…
