Fines in effect for speeding, red-light runners at 14 Tempe intersections

TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — Tempe’s photo-enforcement program officially entered its next phase Friday. Drivers will now face fines for speeding or running red lights at 14 intersections across the city.

Any driver caught speeding or running a red light will receive a ticket with a $250 fine. Criminal charges could also apply for excessive speeds as applicable under state law.

The city’s crackdown on red-light runners and speeders entered its first phase on May 7 with a 30-day warning period…
