Call center employees face job losses as iQor scales back Phoenix operations

Nearly 150 call center employees in the Phoenix metro will be laid off by a global customer experience solutions firm.

Florida-based iQor CXBPO expects to lay off 148 remote employees who were previously based out of the firm’s Tempe facility, according to Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification, or WARN, obtained by the Business Journal. iQor Communications Director Nicole Gobbo told the Business Journal the scheduled layoffs come as a result of a client’s “decision not to renew their contract.”

“We value these employees and we’re doing everything to identify positions within iQor,” Gobbo said. “We’re looking for clients to support more employment opportunities.”…
