PHOENIX — More than 50 military police attended a touching ceremony at the Arizona National Guard Papago Park Military Reservation in Phoenix on Sunday morning ahead of their deployment to Alaska.
All will deploy to Fort Greely, Alaska, where they will augment and conduct Security Forces operations for about one year.
“It’s a lot of drone training, critical site security, area defense… basically securing the post,” said 1LT Sydney Boland, the deployment commander. “It’s longer than your normal deployment, but I am really excited to actually get to use the training that we’ve done.”…
