QUEEN CREEK, AZ (AZFamily) — A man is accused of leaving his two dogs in his car while he was at work in Queen Creek, leading to their death last week.
Around 4 p.m. on June 13, police were called to the EOS Fitness near Signal Butte and Queen Creek roads. Court documents say the manager at the gym told authorities that two dogs were dead after an employee, identified as Abraham Delarosa, left them in his car for six hours.
The manager reported that she held a staff meeting at 9 a.m., which Delarosa attended. According to court paperwork, the meeting ended six hours later when other staff members told the manager that Delarosa was in the parking lot performing CPR on the dogs, who appeared to be stiff.
Delarosa claimed that he had left the vehicle running and “someone must have turned the car off,” court documents state. He then rushed the dogs to a vet clinic in the same parking lot…
