Motorcyclist who sped away from Phoenix police dies in fiery crash

PHOENIX – A motorcyclist was killed in a fiery crash Wednesday night after speeding away from police in Phoenix, authorities said.

Officers observed a motorcycle traveling over the speed limit and violating other traffic laws near Seventh Street and Thunderbird Road around 7:25 p.m., according to the Phoenix Police Department.

However, they were unable catch up to the motorcycle to conduct a traffic stop.

What did motorcyclist do before fatal crash?

“The motorcycle traveled north on Canterbury Drive when it lost control and was involved in a collision with another vehicle,” Sgt. Rob Scherer said in a media advisory Thursday. “The collision resulted in the motorcycle being engulfed in flames.”…
