MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — A young man is in custody after leading DPS on an overnight pursuit on the Loop 202.
Just after 1:15 a.m., a trooper attempted to pull over a vehicle on the eastbound Loop 202 at Country Club Drive.
DPS says the driver, 20-year-old Judas Alexis Figueroa, did not stop and sped off. The trooper lost sight of Figueroa, but the DPS’s traffic operations center tracked his vehicle. Authorities say Figueroa crashed into the center median and drove on the wrong side of the road before getting out of the car.
Figueroa then ran off. DPS troopers found Figueroa under a nearby pickup truck and arrested him…
