Major renovations in store for Chase Field

The upgrades estimated estimated price tag is expected between $500 million and $1 billion. The plans are to modernize the 27-year-old stadium and address various infrastructure issues

PHOENIX, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) – The renovations are part of a larger effort to ensure the Diamondbacks remain at Chase Field beyond the current lease, which expires in 2027. Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs signed the bill HB2704 approving up to $500 million in public funding for the project, primarily through redirected sales taxes.

The public funding is secured for the next 30 years. To ensure the team’s long-term commitment, the legislation includes financial penalties if the Diamondbacks leave Chase Field before 2050.
