CHANDLER, AZ (AZFamily) — Police have made an arrest days after an early morning hit-and-run crash that left a man dead near downtown Chandler.
Chandler police announced Friday that officers arrested Jer’hard Doane Duriso for the crash that happened last Thursday near Chandler Boulevard and Delaware Street.
According to officers, the mini bike rider, later identified as 40-year-old Obed Guadalupe Duarte-Leyva, was found seriously injured. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Over the course of the investigation, Chandler PD detectives identified Duriso as a suspect, and he was taken into custody outside of a Mesa home, police said…
