The East Valley Institute of Technology will sponsor a satellite central campus at Red Mountain High School for a nursing assistant program anticipated to begin next academic year as a result of a deal inked with Mesa Public Schools.
Currently EVIT’s career and technical education courses are held at its 65-acre campus on Main Street in downtown Mesa and its 10-acre campus on Power Road, also Mesa, that host students from 11 school districts.
“We’re really excited about this model because it does complement our academy model very well,” said Marlo Loria, MPS director of career and technical education and innovative partnerships. “In fact, some of the classroom space that we have looked is right by where their health care and medical sciences academy classes are.”…
