For much of June 2024, the Western United States faced an intense and relentless heatwave, shattering daily temperature records across multiple states. In Phoenix, Arizona, temperatures soared to an astonishing 118°F, marking one of the city’s hottest Junes on record. Las Vegas, Nevada, also broke its previous June high with a sweltering 115°F.
