DACA recipients no longer protected from deportation, feds say

Phoenix-area bus and light rail riders are seeing the results of Valley Metro upping its security, with some crimes up and others down. According to numbers obtained from Arizona’s Family, Valley Metro saw a 50% decrease in “crimes against persons,” which is often considered violent crime, from fiscal year 2023 to fiscal year 2024. However, property crime, like thefts, saw a 53% increase in that same time frame.
