One student was fatally stabbed after a classroom fight escalated at Maryvale High School in Phoenix on Tuesday, Aug. 19, according to the Arizona Department of Education news release.
Shortly before 11 a.m. local time, Phoenix police officers and fire crews responded to the high school. It remains unclear whether the two teens knew each other or what triggered the confrontation.
