High wind gusts opening potential for poor air quality as extreme heat warning nears its end

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) – A few strong storms will be possible today, primarily between Phoenix and Yuma, with high winds and blowing dust as the main threats, according to the National Weather Service.

While chances are on the lower side, there is a shot that eastern portions of Yuma County gets hit with rain showers and thunderstorms as we move into Monday.
