TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — A Chandler police officer was injured in a physical fight with a suspect in Tempe late Saturday night.
Police say the Chandler officer was working a detail in Tempe when he stopped a motorcycle around 11:15 p.m. near Apache Boulevard and Rural Road. Chandler Police said the rider fled the attempted stop.
The motorcyclist then stopped at a traffic light, and an officer tried to approach the motorcycle and hit the kill switch. The rider reportedly swatted at the officer’s hand, and a physical fight started…
