Sign dedicated to fallen Phoenix police officer to be unveiled Wednesday

PHOENIX — One year after Phoenix Police Officer Zane Coolidge was shot and killed in the line of duty, a historic marker will be unveiled in his honor, officials announced Tuesday.

The ceremony will take place at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the site of the shooting, on the south side of 16th Street near McDowell Road in Phoenix.

McDowell Road will close between 16th and 17th streets for the ceremony at 7 p.m. It is expected to reopen by 9 p.m., according to Phoenix police…
