A tragic event unfolded last night. September 11 along the I-10 in the West Valley, where a single-vehicle crash has claimed one life and left four others injured. FOX 10 Phoenix reported that the incident occurred eastbound near Palo Verde, with emergency crews responding to the scene shortly before 10:00 p.m. Buckeye Assistant Fire Chief Rayne Gray was quoted stating, “One adult male was pronounced deceased at the scene. Four additional patients – including an adult female, a teenage male, and two young children, ages 5 and 6 – were transported in critical condition to West Valley Trauma Center and Phoenix Children’s Hospital for advanced trauma care.”
Authorities have since identified the individual who died in the crash as 46-year-old Andy Alvarado Ramirez, a Mesa resident, according to 12News. The accident happened at approximately 1:20 a.m. near 99th Avenue.
