A joint effort by Cottonwood and Phoenix police departments has led to the arrest of a 19-year-old Phoenix man, Jonathan Pirvulescu, who is suspected of robbing the First Convenience Bank inside a Walmart in Cottonwood last month, according to an announcement from both agencies.
The drama unfolded on the morning of Aug. 21, when Cottonwood police were called to the scene after reports that the suspect had used a note to demand cash from a teller, before fleeing with the money, FOX 10 Phoenix reported; Pirvulescu allegedly got away with “a substantial amount of cash.”
