Arizona sets execution date for killer of 4 Phoenix family members

Richard Djerf, who killed four members of a Phoenix family more than 30 years ago, is scheduled to be executed at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, Arizona corrections officials announced Friday.

The execution by lethal injection will take place at the state prison in Florence. It would be Arizona’s second use of the death penalty this year.
