The driver of a Corvette hit 140 mph in Tempe. His car was grappled the next day.

TEMPE, Ariz. — Tempe police said they have heard citizens’ concerns about dangerous driving and are taking action.

An example: A Corvette driver recorded himself hitting 140 mph on the Mill Avenue bridge, police said. The same driver had been reported to police “several times” for reckless driving and loud noise, Tempe police said.

Officers attempted to pull the driver over but he “raced off and blew through red lights,” police said…
