A 31-year-old man from Chandler, Arizona, Thomas Brown, is at the center of a shocking investigation following his arrest for the alleged murder of two teenagers, Pandora Kjolsrud, 18, and Evan Clark, 17. The victims were on a camping trip to Mount Ord when they met their untimely deaths. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, Brown, a former U.S. Army staff sergeant and one-time cross-country high school star, had relocated to Chandler five years prior to the incident.
Investigators kept Brown on the radar after multiple tips from other campers present during the weekend of the tragedy. FOX 10 Phoenix reports that Brown had posted on his Facebook on May 24 about reaching the top of Mount Ord, the same weekend when the killings occurred. Tanner Peterson, a former teammate of Brown’s, expressed disbelief regarding the allegations, revealing that Brown’s recent social media activity had become troubling. “Never in a million years [did I] guess that he would do something like that,” Peterson told FOX 10 Phoenix.
