Shondiin Silversmith is a journalist from the Navajo Nation with more than 15 years of experience reporting on Indigenous stories in the United States. Her work has appeared in several media outlets. She has worked to increase Indigenous representation in journalism. Silversmith holds degrees from Diné College, the University of New Mexico, and Northeastern University.
She is currently a Ph.D. student at Arizona State University. Silversmith is moving from journalism to Indigenous academia. She plans to work with Indigenous scholars and creatives.
