Five Arrested, One Charged with Second-Degree Murder After Fatal Fight Outside Scottsdale Bar

Scottsdale Police have arrested five individuals in connection with a fatal altercation outside an Old Town Scottsdale bar that claimed the life of a man earlier this month. The man, identified as Thomas John “T.J.” Pizzitola, 29, died following a fight that occurred on October 11 near Scottsdale Road and 1st Avenue, as per reports from FOX 10 Phoenix and AZFamily.

According to court documents cited by AZFamily, Pizzitola and two friends were ejected from Pattie’s First Avenue Lounge for being unruly, and while waiting for their rideshare, an argument ensued between Pizzitola’s party and a woman, subsequently joined by four men, culminating in Pizzitola being sucker-punched, sustaining fatal brain injuries and collapsing to the pavement.
