Phoenix Police Probe Two Unrelated Shootings: One Woman Killed, Another Seriously Injured

Phoenix has become the unwelcome host to a recent spate of violence, with police currently investigating two separate shootings that left one woman dead and another seriously injured. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, the first incident occurred around 6 p.m. on Oct. 28, when officers found a woman with a gunshot wound at 25th Avenue and Greenway Road. She was subsequently hospitalized with serious injuries and has been stabilized. The shooter in this incident fled the scene before police arrived and remains unidentified.

Later, in an unrelated incident, a woman, after being shot at an apartment complex near 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road, was pronounced dead. Responding to the scene at approximately 4:45 p.m., officers arrived to find the victim already wounded, stated to KTAR News. Firefighters rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she was ultimately pronounced dead. The suspect, involved in this second shooting, has yet to be apprehended, with police closing the apartment complex during their initial search and continuing to follow leads.

As of now, the motive behind either shooting remains unclear, with police still piecing together the circumstances of each incident. The identity of the woman who was killed, as well as the woman who was hospitalized, has not been publicly released. The gravity of the hospitalized woman’s injuries, apart from being serious, has not been detailed. Police have not yet determined if there was any relation between the two shootings…
