Meanwhile, the Covington Police Department in Tennessee detained an adult and four teens on various charges, including burglary and possession of weapons, after they reportedly kicked in the back door of a vacant house in the Wooten Street area. As per a statement obtained by Yahoo News, upon arrival, officers witnessed several suspects attempting to flee the scene and gave chase. The discovery included a handgun, a reported stolen revolver from Asheville, NC, and a car programming scanner kit.
The adult, identified as 18-year-old Cary Davis of Atoka, faces charges including burglary, the unlawful possession of a handgun, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is currently held on a $40,000 bond.
