GLENDALE, Ariz. — The 21-year-old who stabbed a student on the ASU West Valley campus last year was recently sentenced to prison.
Kaci Sloan was sentenced on Nov. 7 in Maricopa County Superior Court to 11 years in prison after the defendant pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated assault for a stabbing that took place in an ASU classroom in September 2024.
Witnesses told police the defendant stabbed another student without provocation, and bystanders jumped in to stop the attack. Court records show Sloan allegedly told police she planned the attack, but she didn’t know the other student aside from her name…
