PHOENIX, ARIZONA — A flight from Phoenix to San Francisco turned tense after a passenger on American Airlines accused a flight attendant of assault when she caught him vaping inside the airplane bathroom, prompting law enforcement to meet the aircraft upon landing.
Video captured by another passenger shows the man raising his voice at crew members while claiming he had been physically handled by a flight attendant who discovered him violating federal no-smoking regulations.
Incident Aboard the Flight
The altercation reportedly began mid-flight after the man exited the restroom and was confronted for using a vape pen, something strictly prohibited under FAA guidelines.
