PHOENIX (AZFamily) — An Arizona lawmaker thinks she can get votes to approve a pay raise for legislators in exchange for tougher term limits.
Democratic Rep. Stacey Travers from Phoenix has filed a new bill that would raise the salary for state lawmakers from $24,000 to $35,000 a year. She’s offering something in return: stricter term limits, the kind lawmakers can’t work around.
