PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The director of the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) sat down with Good Morning Arizona to discuss road safety, how the department is addressing hiring shortages and the agency’s newest alert system.
DPS Director Col. Jeffery Glover joined Good Morning Arizona on Thursday to explain how the department is preparing for the busy travel season through the end of the year. Glover is reminding people not to drink and drive and to use rideshare services if they plan on going out for the holidays.
“We all hear the slogans, you know, please drive sober or get pulled over. When we come into these types of situations over the holidays, we’re very concerned about people’s behaviors and how they are consuming alcohol, getting behind a wheel,” Glover explained. “We just want to make sure to remind people there’s a lot of different options out there.”…
