Arizona AG reaches deal with insurance company over unpaid first responder claims

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The Arizona Attorney General’s Office has reached an agreement with an insurance company that left hundreds of first responders with unpaid medical bills, officials announced.

Attorney General Kris Mayes said the Thin Blue Line Benefits Association has to pay all existing claims under the agreement. Her office will monitor the progress over 60 days to see if progress is being made; if not, legal action could follow.

“The agreement that they have entered into says they will pay these claims for every Arizonan that is owed money,” Mayes said.
