Man sentenced to 20 years in prison after shooting at police

A Phoenix man was sentenced was sentenced to 20 years in prison Friday for shooting at police, the Maricopa County Attorney’s office announced in a release.

Eberto Hernandez, 40, committed multiple felony offenses, including two counts of aggravated assault on a police offer, one count of aggravated assault, one count of unlawful discharge of a firearm, and three counts of disorderly conduct, according to the release.

Hernandez also received an additional 2.5 years in prison for violating his probation, a sentence that will run consecutively to the 20-year sentence…
