Bank Manager Found Guilty Of Embezzling $655K From Mesa Branch

A Mesa woman has been found guilty of embezzling funds from the bank she managed in the East Valley.

Brooke McDonough, 35, was convicted of various offenses during a two-week trial in federal court that concluded this month, according to the United States Attorney’s Office in Arizona.

Between June 2021 and February 2022, the defendant embezzled $655,000 from the Mesa bank she managed. Prosecutors allege that the defendant stole cash from ATM machines and the branch’s vault before depositing it into personal accounts via ATMs at other banks…
