Police use drone, sonar, dogs in search for ‘beloved’ Tempe man

Tempe police intensified a search Monday for a missing 91-year-old man who was last seen on Friday.

Apolonio Romero, who police referred to as a “beloved” and long-time Tempe resident, has dementia and type 2 diabetes, according to a release. He was last seen about 7 p.m. Jan. 2 near Weber Drive and Miller Road, police said.
