PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Police have released body-cam video recorded during an officer-involved shooting that left an armed suspect wounded in north Phoenix late last month.
Around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27, officers were on an unrelated welfare check at an apartment complex near 28th and Larkspur drives, which is close to Interstate 17 and Cactus Road, when police say Arieus Amaree Potts began threatening to shoot them. As police completed the welfare check and returned to their patrol SUVs, investigators say Potts fired one shot toward them from behind a block wall.
