Less than three years ago, DCB Performance Marine left its ancient digs in El Cajon, Calif., for a sparkling new facility in Phoenix. The Arizona location was a quantum leap from the custom high-performance catamaran builder’s original home-base.
But life—as the Beatles lyricist John Lennon famously said—is what happens when you’re busy making plans. So when a larger and more boat-building friendly spaced opened on the same road, the DCB team bit the bullet—while still continuing ultra-custom catamaran production—and moved again.
When it comes to relocating a boat company it doesn’t matter if the move is down the road or across the country. There’s just a lot of big, heavy stuff to get from one place to another.
