Cyclist Fights For Life After Country Club Crash In Paradise Valley

A bicyclist was left with life-threatening injuries Monday afternoon after a vehicle struck the rider on Desert Fairways Drive near the Paradise Valley Country Club, according to Paradise Valley police. Emergency crews rushed the cyclist to a hospital, and officers shut down the roadway while first responders worked the crash scene and documented evidence.

As reported by 12News, the collision happened on Desert Fairways Drive east of the Paradise Valley Country Club and involved a vehicle. The outlet noted that officers secured the area as investigators combed the scene for clues.

Arizona’s Family reports that Paradise Valley Police Department commander Patrick Beumler confirmed the cyclist was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. According to the station, Desert Fairways Drive was closed between Palo Verde Place and Mummy Mountain Road as of about 2:20 p.m. while police continued their work.
