Man sentenced to 12 years after deadly, high-speed DUI crash in Mesa

MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — A man has been sentenced to prison in connection with a high-speed, DUI-related crash in the East Valley that left one person dead more than two years ago, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office announced on Wednesday.

Ian Omar De La Pena, 26, is set to spend 12 years behind bars, with credit for nearly a year he’s already served in jail.
