MESA, Ariz. — The Mesa City Prosecutor’s office has decided to “turn down” the request for charges against two Mesa High School administrators.
Principal Kirk Thomas and Athletic Director David Klecka were investigated by the Mesa Police Department for failure to report under Arizona Revised Statutes 13-3620A6 during the district’s winter break. The charges stem from an incident that occurred Feb. 12, 2025.
Mesa police began investigating an aggravated assault report on Feb. 13, 2025, one day after the alleged incident.
