PHOENIX — A family is demanding answers after a deadly police shooting in West Phoenix. They say the man killed by officers wasn’t the suspect they were after.
Family have identified the man killed as Cristian Diaz. They say he was unarmed, did not pose a threat, and was trying to help protect his family from harm. However, a day after the shooting, they say their hearts are in a million pieces.
“She was saying, ‘take me with him, that’s the love of my life,'” said Jarvis Rosas Gonzalez. “She was saying, ‘Please, please let me go with him.'”…
